If your bike’s brakes have lost braking power, there are several possible causes. The brake disc must be clean, i.e. free of dirt and oil. If this is not the case, clean the brake discs with alcohol, but never with standard brake cleaner. It is also important to brake your bike correctly. You can find out exactly how to do this in the owner’s manual. Furthermore, damp or wet brakes do not provide the desired performance, in which case everything will work again as usual as soon as the brakes have been allowed to dry.
