WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION REGARDING THE DESIGN AND THE COLORS?
I’ve been into bikes all my life, and crossed between most styles of riding, but mostly enjoying the creative outlet of custom bikes these days.
Honestly, my inspiration was the early media photos of the Ruff “Shelly” and “Rodder” Deans, I love the simple clean curved lines and wanted to build a tribute. This actual model frame wasn’t available, so I built my own, combining an alloy dean frame with custom cut cnc carbon fibre panels making it a light easy riding cruiser.
The Ruff Azura Blue was a favourite colour of mine, and I chose to combine red for that Hot Rod Style with a few coats of matt clear.
TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR BIKE:
A week after I finished the build, I entered it in my local Pedal Pushers Bike Club show and won a trophy for best modified bike. As there has been quite a bit of interest in the bike, and I put in so much work, for now it sits on display, so I can maintain it’s mint condition.. for now anyway! I have two other Ruff bikes I enjoy riding in the time being with local groups, Krazy Cruisers and Pedal Pushers.
